Rev. Dr. Tasha Brown

Rev. Dr. Tasha M. Brown is a pastoral practitioner, author, and founder of the Purple Ladies Group and the Solopreneur Academy, a faith-driven movement that helps Black Christian women turn calling into career through strategic preparation and spiritual formation.

Drawing from her doctoral work at McCormick Theological Seminary and over a decade of leadership in ministry and business development, Dr. Brown created the Bridge–Ally–Motivator (B-A-M) Model, a faith-based framework for decision-making and resilience.

Her writing in The Handbook on Poverty and Entrepreneurship (De Gruyter, 2024) and her books including Seller of Purple, Don’t Vacate, Evolve, and The Strategic Exit Planner, equip women to align purpose with planning, faith with finance, and vision with victory.

Dr. Brown’s work bridges pulpit and practice, helping women of faith build enterprises that honor God, sustain families, and transform communities.

The Revelation That Started It All:
"I was watching Secretariat," Dr. Tasha recalls, "and I started crying. Not because of the race, but because of the revelation: This horse was a champion who had HIS race to win." That moment birthed the breakthrough that would transform hundreds of women's lives: You're not an imposter. You're just running someone else's race.

About

More Than a Business Group. We Are a Movement.

Purpose Statement

Purple Ladies Group exists to equip Black women to leave corporate Egypt and build enterprises rooted in faith, strategy, and freedom. We transform career fatigue into calling, and calling into viable, wealth-creating ventures.

Mission

We equip Christian women to walk boldly in faith and business by providing the spiritual foundation, practical tools, and sisterhood support needed to birth the businesses God has placed in their hearts.

Through our faith-driven courses, coaching, and community, we help women:

  • Discern whether to grow where they are or go where they’re called

  • Build businesses that honor their calling

  • Evolve into their next level with courage, wisdom, and strategic preparation

  • Transform workplace experiences or transition into entrepreneurship guided by faith

Vision

We envision a world where Christian women thrive authentically, leading Kingdom-minded enterprises that reflect God’s glory in the marketplace and restore dignity to their divine design.

Our Promise

  • We’re not just about business; we’re about becoming.

  • We don’t just teach sales; we teach Spirit-led strategy.

  • We don’t just post quotes; we guide women through radical identity restoration.
